"I am pleased to help bring the Blowery Compression Module to the open source community," said Shaun Walker, DotNetNuke creator and maintainer. "By accepting the Blowery Compression Module as a Sub-Project, we are taking a big step forward in providing some powerful performance benefits to users of the DotNetNuke application."

About the Blowery Compression Module

HTTP Compression is one of the most important things to consider adding to your ASP.NET application. It can speed up download times by about five times and saves on valuable bandwidth consumption. Although Microsoft IIS 6.0 provides embedded GZIP HTTP Compression support, many Hosting providers do not enable the option for their clients. The Blowery Compression Module enables you to leverage HTTP Compression on a site by site basis, allowing you achieve the maximum performance benefit for your website.
