A button on the host settings page to export all relevant information about a DNN installation to a file that can be sent to support staff.
Problem:
When delivering support we spend a lot of time and effort in getting to know what is running in DNN and how its configured.
Rationale:
Provide a better supportable framework. This will greatly cut time and hence make DNN admins and 3rd party vendors more happy.
Solution:
A button on host menu/page that triggers a report to be compiled and sets off the download.
Impact:
Host settings in core.
Risk:
Possible leakage of confidential configuration settings. The solution will need to be designed not to send out SMTP settings or connection strings for instance.
