Content staging allows the use of a separate staging server where intended web site changes are implemented, tested and reviewed. Your staging server will typically be physically separate from your production server and behind your corporate firewall, though this is not a requirement for implementation.
The content staging system compares your staging server configuration to your production server to identify missing components, pages and modules, that need to be published. The system provides a detailed view of all planned changes in both a tabular and a tree structure.
A built-in audit feature creates a record of all publishing events to the production server for easy review.
Content staging using the Enterprise Edition is a tightly controlled approach to ensure that the content for your website is fully tested and vetted before being pushed out for public view.
The content staging feature is currently limited to publishing pages and HTML Pro module changes
