DotNetNuke and SharePoint: what a powerful combination. Think about the heavy SharePoint document management features like versioning, WebDav and not to forget the perfect Microsoft Office integration; combined with the flexibility of DotNetNuke. Not to forget the same technology base. That’s why there are professional solutions available on the enterprise market to integrate DotNetNuke and SharePoint.

We made it! The DotNetNuke Links Module for DotNetNuke 6 passed the release tracker on the 1st of July. So it is one of the first (could be the first at all) DotNetNuke 6 Modules which was officially released.
Many thanks to the module team, especially to Simon (ITM), but also to the other core team members who are involved to the release (tracker) process. So feel free to download the official DNN 6 release of the Links Module [ http://dnnlinks.codeplex.com/releases/view/63632]....

After about 60 days testing and quality assurance this morining we got the message: "State:: PASSED (Testing).
The module has successfully passed the testing phase and is moving on toward staging." So the module still has good chances to be the first DNN 6 (old school) core module. Keep your fingers crossed. In the meantime, take a look at the highlights included or download the RC:

Today two of my mates / colleagues Alexander and Johannes (both also member of the DotNetNuke Links Module Team) released their new DotNetNuke Menu Provider. They thought working with the standard DotNetNuke menu providers is “a pain”. And they didn’t want to study XSLT before skinning a DNN site. So they decided to build their own. In my eyes they built a simple as well as powerful solution:
Easy to use templating system: developed for designers
Flexible use of custom mark-up
Access...

Enterprise Architecture Integration (EAI) and DotNetNuke go well together. Enterprise solutions such as SAP R3, Web-to-Print Modules based on Adobe InDesign-Server or even individual workflow systems based on the Microsoft Workflow Foundation 4 can be integrated easily as the DotNetNuke framework (basing on Microsoft .NET-Technologies) comes with an Open Source License that allows editing source code just as needed. Not only during integration but also in service, DotNetNuke keeps a high level of flexibility...

During DNN 5.5 was developed, supported by the DNN Corp. (thanks for that!), the open source localization component for DotNetNuke EALO and the open source Workflow module were improved by my ITM colleague Steffen Ivanowtisch. They now run on DotNetNuke 5.5. You can download all new releases directly at codeplex.

In software development version control is often associated with tool supported team work in projects. In these cases it supports the central storing of versions of files in a repository. Filing, change logging and providing the versions are the most common scenarios. Subversion (SVN) is a widely used, and license -free version control software. SVN and several free APIs facilitate the use of the version control via the application. But there is also an enormous benefit from the combined usage of version control...

Since everybody is excited about the new DotNetNuke 5.5 release and its core content localization features, my colleague Steffen Ivanowitsch tested our own popular localization component EALO on the current DNN beta 5.5. Not to compete with the core component but to guarantee full functionality for the new release as well.
As necessary some things have changed on how current language settings were handled. Therefore we've updated our EALO component...

Today DNN 5.4.0 was released. The release notes included one small but important line. Beside some fixes and enhancements there is a feature included which will make some people jump up in the air: content localization. It was prepared since 5.1x. but now it’s there; still simple and limited to the portal settings. But you already can change yours portal title (,…) for your site. As I said: It’s...
