Our Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger just launched a new initiative called the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. For more information see the blog post from the new director, Joel Ayala. The site itself is www.business.ca.gov The site is receiving tons of national and international attention, but the really good news is that it is running on DotNetNuke Professional Edition. Thanks to the hard work from one of our Fusion Partners Symsoft Solutions, the site launched in 23 days without a hitch. This week we also launched...

Over the last few weeks, two Fusion partners decided to elevate their membership levels from Registered to Certified. The partners are Symsoft Solutions, based in Sacramento California, and Pure Systems Ltd, based in the UK. Both partners are relative new comers to the program, but long time members of the DotNetNuke Ecosystem. It is encouraging to see that these partners felt the program provided enough value to them to warrant the increased investment. Thank you Savita and Dan.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have been reaching out to Fusion Partners in an effort to compile a list of finished CMS projects that are noteworthy. Shaun Walker will be picking out a few to include in his blog that he feels are especially interesting. Also, we are interested in building a list of compelling DNN sites that leverage Telerik Controls. If you have created a masterpiece that you feel really showcases your team’s creative design skills or provides interesting functionality, let me know doug.howell@dnncorp.com Lastly… Earlier this month, we put out an official “Call for Speakers” for our annual fall DotNetNuke conference at DevConnections in Las Vegas. This year, we’re calling it DotNetNuke Connections ’10. ...

2009 was an interesting year for the DotNetNuke Fusion Partner Program. When the program launched in late summer, there was a considerable amount of spirited conversation to say the least. For the most part the reception was positive, intermixed with suggestions for improvement. We had a chance to meet a number of partners at the DotNetNuke OpenForce ’09 Connections conference in Las Vegas in November and again walked away with a number of suggestions on how to improve overall satisfaction with the program. Looking back, I think we made a very positive impact on the DotNetNuke ecosystem. Now that we are solidly into 2010, it is great to see that the number of partners in the program continue to climb. Eighteen new partners joined the Fusion Program in January. That brings the total number of partners up to almost 70. In 2010 we will continue to...

As the dust settles from the end of Q3 2009, it is a great time to reflect on the progress of the first quarter of the DotNetNuke Fusion Partner Program. First, let me say thank you for everyone’s participation. When the program launched, there was a great deal of spirited opining. There were a few elements of the program that met with virtually unanimous displeasure, and those were quickly addressed. As a result of that interactive collaboration, I am pleased to report that the program is very healthy, and is growing in a meteoric fashion. To date, we have a fairly even distribution of Gold, Certified, and Registered partners from all corners of the globe, 18 in total. Most recently, we added Maximum ASP which is Microsoft’s 2009 Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year and a partner...

We published a press release today announcing the DotNetNuke Fusion Partner Program. As it goes with press releases, we did not have much of a chance to elaborate about all of our new partners. I wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks to our new partners and tell you more about them. I also wanted to let everyone know we have a methodology for Fusion Partners to register opportunities and a process for non-partners to refer business to DotNetNuke Corp. and receive compensation for their efforts. Fusion Gold Partners PowerDNN and R2integrated are our first two Gold Fusion Partners. They have been key figures in the DotNetNuke ecosystem for years, and have had a major role in helping DotNetNuke Corp. as we launched the DotNetNuke Professional Edition...

In my first blog posting, I wrote that input from our community would be critical to the success of the program. Over the last few days, there has been a considerable amount of input regarding a couple of facets of the program. Many potential partners expressed concerns about the minimum certification requirements, and the quarterly license requirements. Both of those elements have been removed from the program.
