I have been asked to become team lead of a new DNN project, the skinning project (and I accepted :-)

Some people might already know my name from either the Forums or the searchdotnetnuke website , but I'll introduce myself anyway.

I have a design / art background.
I graduated as a product / concept designer in 1999 at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
Before that I already started programming (qbasic, VB6 and assembler on a Z80).

After my graduation I developed my web skills, HTML, CSS, JS and some ASP(.NET)
Currently most of my clients are design, art or education related.
In may 2006 I discovered DNN and now I develop virtually all my clients websites with it.

About 50% of my time I get hired for custom skinning (of an existing design).
I also teach Photoshop (digital collage) and Microstation
(a 3D programme like autocad, but better ;-) at an interior design school.

I hope I can contribute something to the (skinning) community, both for professional skinners and beginners.

For anybody who want to help; I'm happy so many people want to get involved.
But please be patient, I'm still busy setting up everything and will think about more people on the team later.

I'll let you know.

Re: Introducing myself

Hi Timo. Welcome. I have done quite a bit of custom work in my 2 years of DNN skinning experience, including writing VB scripts to return the top ancestor page for display and linking purposes, custom print / email with javascript features, and I have an extensive background in XHTML and CSS. Let me know if I can be of any help while you work with DNN! I'm very interested in getting involved if I can.

perfect fit!

Congrats, Timo! By virtue of your forum posts alone, I have always considered you a Virtual Team Member anyhow. This is well-deserved recognition!

Re: Introducing myself

Welcome Timo! I'm glad to see the skinning portion of this excellent piece of software taking off. It is the one thing about DNN that I have the most interest in. I'm currently in the midst of designing an intranet portal for a client and am in the process now of designing skins for it. I am also an accomplished developer with asp.net and would love to contribute to this particular area. You can contact me at eriklharperatgmaildotcom
