I am pleased to announce that DNN Online Help of DNN 4.6.0 has just been published at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/About/DotNetNukeOnlineHelp/tabid/787/Default.aspx.

Online Help can also be accessed via menu of any module on your website (See 'Disabling/Enabling Online Module Help ' at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Documentation/DotNetNukeOnlineHelp/tabid/787/TID/2425/cid/-1/Default.aspx for details)

For those new to using DNN Help here's an overview of how it comes together. As part of my role as DotNetNuke Core Team Member I have the honour of writing DNN Online Help for each major DNN release. This Help resource is then published on DotNetNuke and is freely available to everyone.

For the Old Skool crew who like to do their reading offline (like me) a PDF version is also available for a fee from the DotNetNuke MarketPlace.

I have just created a 'DNN Help for DNN 4.6.0' listing on the MarketPlace and I will blog again once the listing appears.

This edition has weighed in at a massive 680+ pages and is the biggest and most comprehensive manual to date.

Re: DNN Online Help for DNN 4.6.0 Goes Live

Looking over the help & checking the listed projects, I notice that the Text/HTML module is not listed as a project or a distinct module in DNN 4.6. Is this because Text/HTML is now considered a "core" component as opposed to a module? I ask because I am researching Tokens in the Text/HTML and have not found much documentation as of yet, and was surprised that I can't find info on Text/HTML, except that there is still a project forum. Any news you can provide would help.

oops - my bad - I now see Text/HTML under "Installed Modules", whereas I was looking under "Available Modules". Thanks, Lorraine (& others), on all the work on the documentation! It's nice to know what we can do with tokens now!!

Re: DNN Online Help for DNN 4.6.0 Goes Live

So now all versions before 4.6 have wrong information in online help. In a couple of weeks 4.7 are out and the help are old again. The only thing that is for sure the online help are never accurate. Please redesign the online help implementation.

Olsmar - Thank you for taking the time to comment. If you have more free time and would like to contribute to the project, please go to the Help Project on the Forum and post your list of changes, updates, ideas, etc for Online Help.

Lorraine - Is there a full online version available vs. just the getting started information? I have not yet found the full 680 page manual online anywhere. LORRAINE SAYS: I will post here as soon as it is online in the DNN Marketplace. I have submitted it to the Marketplace, however I am still waiting for it to go live. I expect it will not be until after the conference as everyone who can get it live is busy here. Thanks for your patience.
