This is just a short post to inform you about the current status of the announcements module.

Right now we are working hard to get the new 04.00.00 release out as soon as possible (goal is to have this version enter the release tracker next week)

A brief summary of new features:

• Module will be ported to ASP.NET 2.0, we will be using the WAP model for development
• Minimal supported DNN version will be DNN 4.6.0
• Module will have full support for the DNN TokenReplace functionality
• Module will use IHydratable
• Module will use IXmlSerializable

Especially the support for core TokenReplace will add a lot of new options in the templating system. It will allow format strings and stuff like that
