Many of you know that I grew up in England.  As a result I enjoy watching Football (Soccer to you North Americans).

On Sunday I watched the European Championship final in HD on my 46" LCD TV - that was cool, and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the Spanish football fans in the DotNetNuke Community on the victory of their team.

During my vacation in Italy I found it difficult to keep up with the early group play (although Italy's results were plastered across the media), but I was impressed with Spain's performances at all stages of the competition.

It is not always the case - but I truly believe that this year the best team won.

And by the way - don't expect much from Vicenc this week - he's probably still celebrating !!

Yes, you'r right. From the german point of view the spanish team just was the better one. And for us germans it's not a problem to loose agains spain. We even didn't expect our team coming that far in the euro championship. And for spain it's the first big title since 44 years! So: Viva Espania!

I also congratulate Spanish fans. Actually i would love to see my country (Turkey) in finals, but we had a huge pain against Germany.

Re: Congratulations Spain

interestingly we have played 5 games and lost two. Against Portugal, we were terrible, but against Germany we didn't deserve the lost. About 3 wins, all of them were dramatic for opponents and amazing for us xD

Hey no offence but I was in Hyde Park watching Stung and "The Police" do their final concert in the UK... on the way back home we noticed the convoys of Spanish driving around Marble Arch.... looks like they had something to celebrate!... congrats Spain!

Croatian team have to be in finals with Spain ! They beat Germans comfortably and were kicked off by Turkey just because referee's hesitate to blow final whistle.

Re: Congratulations Spain

There was a lot of great moments throughout the tournement.

I was kind of pulling for Germany, but Spain truly was impressive. Great stuff!
