This is a brief note to let everyone know the Beta 2 fo the Gallery module is out. The team is doing an excellent job at killing bugs and taking notes of future areas for enhancements.

After almost 700 downloads of Beta 1 and no new bugs except for those found by the team and fixed for Beta 2, looks like this will be also our Release Candidate and we just submitted it to the Project Release Tracker to get more feedback from those in charge. Therefore the aim of the Beta 2 release is to involve the community again in the process after a long hiatus and project delays.

You can see a list of the bugs that were fixed since version 3.0.12 in our Change Log here: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project/ChangeLog.aspx?PROJID=6

The module is available here: http://www.dnnmediagallery.com/

Many thanks to the Gallery team of developers and testers!

Re: Gallery 4.3.0 Beta 2 is out - Help us Test!

Hey, this is great news.

I have made a quick, small test of the module:

I visited dnnmediagallery.com and ran a HTML validation test on the Gallery page: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dnnmediagallery.com%2FGallery%2Ftabid%2F84%2FDefault.aspx

49 errors, 28 warnings. I can not see how many comes from the gallery module.

I ran a CSS validation test on the same page:
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css21&warning=0&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dnnmediagallery.com%2FGallery%2Ftabid%2F84%2FDefault.aspx

67 errors, 47 of them in the DNNSilver.css

Everybody (!) is using XHTML today, so i will create a testsite to make som validation tests.

This Project has taken far too long.

How much longer do we have to wait for a production release? This project has taken far too long! forever! Having tested the beta, it is very similar to what Joomla has had for years... What is stopping us getting it right and out into public domain for production use???

Thx Carga... We don't have an ETA. You may review progress in the Release Tracker itself under the Products>Development menu.
