While attention is centered around OpenForce Connections in Las Vegas, I want to provide a breather from news about that important event. I will soon have the pleasure of announcing the first release of the Gallery Module in the .NET 2.0 platform.
While all details about bug fixes and changes will be disclosed once the module passes the Release process, I can tell you that I have been reviewing the issues in our Bug Tracker and Change Management tool and it is evident that the team has done an exhaustive revision to provide improved stability and performance to the module.
Once comments for the release notes for all issues included in the release have been entered, the module will be officially ready for the Release Tracker which signals other DotnetNuke team members to evaluate several areas. When the module passes this evaluations, it is released to the public. Although the process does not have a specific timetable, it is probable that the module will be available before year's end.
If you have any questions or comments, make sure you visit our public forums.

Re: Gallery Module update
I would very much like to test the gallery module.
I've beta tested before for Microsoft and Intel and other minor players.
My interest isn't pure. As I have 70K images to draw from and I need a gallery for my websites
Thanks!
Ron

Looking forward for the realese also. I need to use it in www.asobiffi.org. I have a lot of images of former students events from my school.

Re: Gallery Module update
I was almost short of breath reading this, lol. Have been excited about this realese since its conception. There has been some outside talk of "Gallery Module" lacking in user functionality. I.E. Users not being able to create own gallery, users set own minor permissions. Hoping we can get the stability and functionality of the "Classic".
