Now that the holidays are through and we have had a chance to assess and fix a number of issues reported in DotNetNuke 4.9.1 and 5.0.0, we are just about ready to release DNN 4.9.2 and 5.0.1. To avoid some of the confusion with a dual release we are going to stagger the two releases.
DotNetNuke 4.9.2 will be released on Monday, February 16th. DotNetNuke 5.0.1 will be released the following Monday, February 23rd. Barring any major hidden show-stopping issues, DotNetNuke 4.9.2 will be the final 4.x release and all future development will focus on the 5.0 platform.
As usual we will post release notes when we make the final releases.
As part of our annual planning we have completed our roadmap for our 2009 development which we’ll be updating shortly on the DotNetNuke.com website.
UPDATE – The 5.0.1 release will be delayed by at least a day to deal with some packaging issues. We had created a release on Friday for testing by the Core Team to validate the package and found that there were a couple of issues that required fixing prior to a full release to the community. We will perform another build for the core team today and hope to have the release ready for the general public on Tuesday, February 24th. I will post any changes in status on this blog post.
UPDATE 2 - After a long day of wrestling with our CI server, I finally have working packages coming out once again. I am distributing those builds to our team tonight (Feb 24th) for testing and final validation and hope to release a final build to the public tomorrow, Feb 25th. As a large number of Core Team members are MVPs, If for some reason this build does not pass our internal review then we will hold the release until after the Microsoft MVP summit, which would mean that it would not be released until 2 weeks from now.
NOTE: - Please don't ask about when it is going to be released. If I know it will be delayed past the 25th, then I will post that information. Until that point just assume that it will be coming out sometime before Midnight Eastern Standard Time. I am trying to make sure people are kept informed if we are experiencing any delays so that you can plan your installs accordingly.

Re: DotNetNuke – Coming soon to a CodePlex near you!
@Nathan - Because yesterday was a holiday here in the States for many companies, we held the release in accordance with our release policy.

Re: DotNetNuke – Coming soon to a CodePlex near you!
Joe, thanks for the update. Your efforts to keep us informed is greatly appreciated. As are the efforts of the "internal test team".
P.S. I hope it makes it tomorrow, two weeks is gonna kill me :-)

Re: DotNetNuke – Coming soon to a CodePlex near you!
Multiple entries were not made on purpose (terrible sorry for that), it’s probably due to me staying on the landing page after "Add comment" and hitting refresh. (I guess it’s not necessary for me to tell how to circumvent “unintentional reposts due to refresh” in code?). Now as I know the blog comment behavior I will avoid it. (a note telling about the problem would have raised my attention avoiding it). - If I understand the omission of feedback to my actual question, there is no news as far as you know regarding the slip in release of 5.0.1?

Re: DotNetNuke – Coming soon to a CodePlex near you!
@Cent_Usr - The posts I had in the queue were spread out over two different dates and given the number I just assumed you were re-submitting thinking they got lost. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Your comment was responded to once I had an update which I posted earlier today on the blog post above.
