As of Monday, December 14 th, we’ll be accepting entries into the DotNetNuke Design Challenge Skinning Contest! Enter and you could win one of 4 Xbox 360’s, 5 copies of Microsoft Expression Studio software, a Windows 7 Netbook and an entire collection of user experience design books!
This year’s contest will generate lots of promotion and opportunities for both professional and amateur designers alike. All skins will be on public display during the contest period and after the contest skins will be made available for community members to use under the standard DotNetNuke Community Edition license. A skin gallery will provide ongoing recognition, promotion and opportunity as people seek reputable designers for custom work.
We are fortunate to have the expertise of 3 talented professionals as contest judges. Morten Rand-Hendriksen, Robert Ian Axford and William Charlton will base their evaluations on four criteria: Design/Creativity, Use of Framework, Technical Implementation and Educational Value. Finalists, a runner up and an a winner will be selected from each of four categories: Personal, Modern Business, Modern Web Standards and a wide open “Think out of the Box” category. A Community Favorite will be selected from among the finalists by public vote.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my most sincere thanks and appreciation to a few individuals without whose sacrifice and contribution the skinning contest would not have been possible: Timo Breumelhof, Cuong Dang, Salar Golestanian and the entire Experience Community Team.
