image I am happy to announce the anticipated Blog 04.00.00 module. The module packages have been posted for download on CodePlex.

I’d like to take a moment to thank the entire Blog Team for their hard work, without which a release this full of new and exciting features would not be possible. I also would like to thank the DotNetNuke Core and Corp. teams for getting the module fast-tracked trough the release tracker program as well. Rumor also has it, that a DotNetNuke 5.4.1 is imminent, and Blog will go along for that ride.

What’s next?

There’s still lots of work to get done on this module. There’s a ton of ideas and potential features that are good candidates for the next release. If you have some ideas of your own, please do let us know about them.
The next release version (4.1) is already in the planning stages, so keep an eye out for that.

So, what are you are you still waiting for? Go download, install, and BLOG! …

P.S. Please rate the module on CodePlex while you are at it. We would like to know what you all think. Thanks!

Hey Antonio, great work to you and your team! I was wondering if there are any "gotchas" we should look out for when upgrading our blogs. If there are... I smell another blog entry. ;)

Re: Extra! Extra! Blog 04.00.00 Officially Released

Just downloaded it through the downloadlink in this blogpost.

Thanks for the effort!!

Do want to point out that the download links from the Blog 0.4.00.00 page do not work (all 4.00 links point to 3.05).

If this is too vague; I clicked on the link from the DNN Community Newsletter - April 2010 (Blog 04.00.00 Download) and the download links presented on this page, all pointed to an earlier version.

Summary vs Full

Antonio & team,

Thanks for all the great work. I had no issues upgrading to the latest version.

I found that re-editing existing posts is beneficial as since I'm lazy and don't typically hand-craft summaries, the system now produces good ones for me.

Cheers,
Tim

Re: Extra! Extra! Blog 04.00.00 Officially Released

Hi Anonio,

Great news on the new release. Can you let me know the best way to install this version? I have the 4.0.0 beta running on a live site (naughty i know!) and would like to get this version on there.
