This week, we officially launched the second annual DotNetNuke Community Choice Awards.  While the nominations period has only been open for a matter of days now, we have already received some high-quality and varied examples of DotNetNuke web sites.

Between now and the nominations deadline on September 17th, there will certainly be a large number of sites entered into this year’s Community Choice Awards.  The question is -- will you be nominating a site?

If you are, keep in mind that you can enter your sites into one of the following categories: Most Creative/Original, Best E-Commerce, or Best Informational Site. All the finalist sites in each of the three categories will be included in the voting for Best Overall Site.  Also, if you entered a site last year that didn’t win in its category, and you would like to re-enter it again this year, you may do so.

Winners in each of the categories will receive an award plaque and recognition on the DotNetNuke web site. Awards will be presented at this year's DotNetNuke Connections '10 conference in Las Vegas.

How To Enter Your Site

It’s easy! Simply send your contact information, the URL of the web site, and category of your entry to marketing@dnncorp.com with the subject line "Community Choice Awards Entry"

Re: DotNetNuke Community Choice Awards!

Hi Bill,

Are those the only 3 categories? They seem a bit limiting - how about Best Social Network? I am not sure where PokerDIY.com would fit in to those 3 - it's not an ecommerce site, it's not informational and it's not the best designed site, so I seem to be disadvantaged by the amount of categories...

Re: DotNetNuke Community Choice Awards!

Hi Rodney -

Yes, the awards are comprised of the categories listed above. Even though I recognize the merit of your suggestion re: an additional category, we do have to set a limit on those. While I do not want to disagree with what you've stated above, I will say that I'm certain that members of PokerDIY.com find the site very informative; many will certainly find the concept of the site very creative and original as well.
