A New Look DotNetNuke 6 delivers a fresh new look out of the box with a great looking contemporary skin and a default site template that helps new users get started quickly. Using modern mega-menus and some lightweight containers, DotNetNuke 6 provides the perfect canvas on which to build your next web masterpiece. Fully Integrated For the first time ever, the DotNetNuke Store (Snowcovered.com) and the Extensions Forge, with over 10,000 application extensions, are directly accessible from within the core DotNetNuke platform. The tight integration simplifies the process of finding, purchasing and installing DotNetNuke apps DotNetNuke in the Cloud DotNetNuke 6 delivers a platform that is fully compatible with Windows Azure Hosting and provides cloud service integration with the addition of the new Windows Azure Storage and Amazon S3 folder providers. DotNetNuke 6 provides a great foundation for moving to the cloud, whether you need to your whole site to live in the cloud or just your content. DotNetNuke Commerce DotNetNuke 6 Professional and Enterprise includes a great new eCommerce module that empowers organizations to quickly add eCommerce capabililities to their website. The new eCommerce module is designed for organizations seeking to deliver a small portfolio of digital goods and services to their end users and is built from the ground up with simplicity and customer experience in mind. SharePoint Meets DotNetNuke Available exclusively in the DotNetNuke Enterprise Edition, the Microsoft SharePoint Connector for DotNetNuke enables fast, secure publishing of documents stored in Sharepoint to public web sites, extranets or intranets. Organizations can securely manage their document library within SharePoint and selectively publish those documents using the flexible, cost effective DotNetNuke platform. DotNetNuke Learns a New Language DotNetNuke 6 has gotten a major new platform upgrade as the result of a complete conversion to C#. This language change will make it more accessible to a larger development community and allows us to leverage many development tools which have always had strong C# support. The C# version of DotNetNuke has been available for the past year and starting with DotNetNuke 6, it is officially the primary development language of the platform. What Are You Waiting For? There are so many changes in DotNetNuke 6 that we encourage you to download a copy today and try it out for yourself. DotNetNuke 6 includes something for everyone, whether you are just trying it for the first time, are a long time user, or are just coming back to see what all the excitement is about. We hope you enjoy what has been a labor of love over the last several months by the team at DotNetNuke Corp and the DotNetNuke Community. For a full list of the bug-fixes, changes and enhancements please see the DotNetNuke 6 Changelog. As always, remember to do a trial upgrade in a test environment and to make a file and database backup prior to upgrading to DotNetNuke 6. While most of your DotNetNuke 4 & 5 modules and skins will work in DotNetNuke 6, some of our vendors have already started releasing updated versions of their modules that take advantage of new DotNetNuke 6 features, so check with them to see if upgrades for your modules or skins already exist.

Re: Announcing DotNetNuke 6!
Congratulations on a truly impressive new release and I am very greatfull for all your efforts. I upgraded a site from 4.9.3 last night and while it did take a few tries (my mistakes for the most part) it was pretty smooth. I have one glitch still to sort out but I have a lot of confidence in 6.0.

Re: Announcing DotNetNuke 6!
Was playing with the RC a week ago and was basically blown away by the quality and stability. The out-of-box experience now is just fantastic. Congrats to all and my sincere thanks for taking the risks that are taking DNN to where it needs to go!

Re: Announcing DotNetNuke 6!
Great job guys!
Just a note - the two links to Azure and S3 in the "DotNetNuke in the Cloud" section have been incorrectly entered so fail on clicking. Easy fix.

Awesome UI and it indeed surprised us with so quick speed. Congratulations to the entire DNN team. However I failed to build it in my local machine with the install package yesterday. Want to try it out again. :)

Re: Announcing DotNetNuke 6!
How is this version reported in Gemini (in other words, is the "released" DNN 6 = 6.0.1, 6.0.2, or 6.1.0?). I would like keep track of any bugs/enhancements that have been logged to the final 6.0 version.Thanks.PS - really looking fwd to using this version

Re: Announcing DotNetNuke 6!
@jonathan - There are 2 main versions that we track - there is the affected version which is the version of the software that the bug has been found to affect. This generally is just the version of the software that a person was running at the time they found the bug. We do not validate bugs against older versions. The second version we track is the version where we plan to fix the bug or the "Fixed In Version". Prior to a release this gives you an idea of our planned workload, but it is very fluid. Once the release is finalized and shipped, this field then identifies everything fixed in a particular release. Once the 6.0.1 maintenance release ships then your tracking will become more difficult because you won't know if a bug was created in 6.0.1 or if it was a 6.0 bug and that is just the first time anyone noticed it.
