Description:

This discussion will cover both basic and advanced real world skinning techniques and methodologies with an emphasis on web standards and design flexibility/fluidity. Unencumbered by past precedent, this promises to be a lively and informative discussion, even for the non-technical.

Bio: Adam Humphrey is owner of Adammer LLC, an IT consulting services company which specializes in Content Management Systems, User Interface Design, and Web Technologies.  As an active champion of accessibility and web standards, Adam uses the Adammer.com website to demonstrate leading edge web technology and standards such as HTML 5, CSS 3, and WCAG 2.0 WAI-AAA compliance.

As co-founder of Scalable Architectures LLC, Adam expanded into geosocial and situational awareness software. The first product, YourGlobalGrid.com, was a realization of the world’s first implementation of the OASIS SOA Reference Architect and OASIS emergency management standards and provided the first EDXL Resource Messaging and Hospital AVailablity Web Service Interfaces to the public domain. The next major product was MapTango.com, a geosocial application that enables people to create unique views of information by easily creating custom and dynamic maps.
Adam has been involved in the DotNetNuke community since the release of DotNetNuke 4.6. He used his background in user interface design and web standards to create ArchitectX; one of the first commercial DotNetNuke skins to validate as XHTML 1.0, CSS 2, and WCAG 1.0 WAI-A compliant.  The majority of his work within DotNetNuke has been custom skin development and portal implementation and he is best known for his free DNN skin, “Greytness”.
