Guys,

I'm new to the group and don't even know how to add a new topic to a forum (sigh).

Can someone explain to me how to add HTML code to an entire page of a DNN constructed site.  I know I can go into the editor box of each module and select the 'source' button to view coding.  But, I want to see (and edite) the coding just like if I right click on the home page in Internet Explorer and see all of the information.

Any help you can provide is appreciate.

Thanks,

Nancy

Hi Nancy
That nature and wording of our question suggests you are unfamiliar with how DNN and ASP technology works. If I’m incorrect and don’t understand your question let me apologize upfront.
The reason is that what you asking is not something you would want or could do. There is only 1 actual “page” in a DNN site and it is ASP not HTML. Further the HTML and Java that is sent to your browser is dynamically generated per request, so it changes. Using your term the page is re-“constructed” constantly as the user navigates what they perceive is a site.
I would recommend that you do a little reading on ASP technology and go from there, keeping in mind that ASP is a development tool or language not a design tool. Maybe someone else here can recommend a good book that explains ASP technology from a HTML designer’s perspective.

Visual display of any DNN site consists of 2 parts: the skin and the content that is rendered by modules. My guess is that you are trying to change the skin. You are encouraged to start with the skinning whitepaper, and there are also a number of books available on DNN Skinning
