I ran out of space on my database today, and investigated. The sitelog was nearly 400 MB and cleared it with SQL - truncate table {database}{objectQualifer}Sitelog

which nearly cut the database in half.

I did notice in the database that the largest portion of the database is being used by:

1. SearchItemWordPostion
2. SearchItemWord
3. SearchWord

What are these for, and is there a way to trim them back also?

I solved it:

The easiest way to get rid of the sitelog is to turn it of in the Host settings and then run from the Host Menu -> SQL:

(1) truncate table Eventlog
(2) truncate table SiteLog
(3) truncate table ScheduleHistory
(4) truncate table SearchItemWordPosition
