Hello Sue,
 
I am not sure how you install DNN.
I think there must be a installation problem.
Well, to address the issue quickly you can do one thing.
just replace the 'GlobalResources' file which should be in "App_GlobalResources" folder with the another instance of your DNN.
Make sure that the two instance of DNN must be in same version.
