If anyone was wondering if it is possible to scale DotNetNuke to multiple servers, the answer is most definitely "Yes".  Although this is one of the smaller PowerGrid Private Clouds that we've set up, we just finished an 11+4 server DotNetNuke setup with the following components:

8 Web Servers
3 Database servers (high availability config)
2 Load Balancers
1 PowerCache Server
1 Domain Controller

Here's a pic of it if you're interested (the load balancers are on the other side of the cabinet so they're not visible from this angle):

May I ask how many monthly visitors this site has to require such configuration? Looking great btw!

dotnetnuke.com is running (last I heard) two web servers and one sql server and it supports 2000 simultaneous visitors nicely.  Although the forums is really the only database intensive app on the site. The rest of the site is pretty static.

I would be interested to know what type of site is going to run on this Powergrid setup - planned number of visitors, type and number of interactive apps.
