Upgraded smoothly from 4.40 to 4.41 and I can no longer make any page-settings changes on any site. There is a script error in the browser stating:

IE says:
Line: 1
Char: 1
Error: 'WebForm_PostBackOptions’ is undefined
Code: 0

Firefox says:
Error: WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions is not defined
Source File: WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions(new WebForm_PostBackOptions("dnn:ctr:ManageTabs:cmdUpdate", "", true, "", "", false, true))
Line: 1

I've examined another thread nearby that has this happneing in 4.03 but that's going back too far. My portal has been running fine until this. Do I have to restore back to 4.40?

Thanks for any assistance.

Rob

I've now also tried clearing the cache, disabling compression and restarting the application to no avail. It was working fine with compression turned on in 4.40 anyway. What to do? I can see a fair few other threads on teh same subject already.

did you try adding webresource.axd to the compression exclusions?

I can try that but would it matter once I've disabled compression altogether?hmm.. how do I add that? Do I just paste it in as-is (webresource.axd) in the Excluded Mime Types box? Does it need a type.. like application or something?

I've probably got an hour to try any fixes before I'm going to have to restore 440.

I too am experiencing the same issue on a test upgrade (from 4.4.0). Compression is disabled, Whitespace is disabled. A clean install performs as expected.
