Hi,

I am installing Dnn version 4.5.3 and during the installation process nothing goes wrong but at the end, on the last step [go to site] results in an error : An unhandled error has occurred.

I am getting why this error could raise, please help.

I am also getting the same error.  The install went fine but when I goto my site I get this in the address line.

Default.aspx?tabid=36&error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object.&content=0

and in the body of the page I get this.

An unhandled error has occurred.

Thanks for any help you can give me with this.

Hi Markeo,

I encountered this problem because the installation files include a folder named 'admin' and in my website/web server there already exist a virtual directory named 'admin' and tihs was causing a conflict...after several installations i discovered this solution and by renaming the existing admin virtual directory in my webserver this issue was resolved.

You may try to look into your directory structure and might be it work with your too.

So far I understood that your installation was failed. Could you supply more information (OS, DNN package, error exception and so far available the interesting parts of the logs ) about your atempt of your installation.

It turned out to be the admin folder that my host used.  Once they removed that, it worked fine.  Thanks for all your help with this.
