Hi all,

If somebody could give me a hand figuring this message out, I'd appreciate it since it is stopping my installation of DNN 6 from working.  After going to configure the databae, I select SQL Server 2005/2008 Database since I have created one, and then after giving the database name, the user (which is also mapped to a login of the same name), and the password, whether run as DB Owner is check or unchecked, I get the following error:

Installing Database - Version 06.00.00...FAILURE 400 - The stored procedure 'DNNUser.UpdateDatabaseVersionAndName' doesn't exist.  What exactly is going on here, and how do I correct the error?  I'm very new to DNn, so any help is very much appreciated.  And for your information, I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2 Express (though I'm not using the auto installation method since I created the database beforehand), IIS 7.5, and Windows Server 2008 R2.  SQl Server 2012 exists on the system, but I'm not using it for this; it is empty.

it looks like DNN has an issue to create stored procedures properly. please drop the database and recreate it (as well as assigning the user with dbowner permission)

okay thanks.  I kind of figured that it was something like that, and that just about seals the inaccessibility coffin for SQL Server, I hate to say.  I'll use T-SQl or PowerShell and see if I can get it right this time.  I'll let you know if anything goes crazy the second time around.  But I appreciate your explanation though.  It helps a nooby like me out.  By the way, is there a place either here or on another site that you know of with a list of DNn's error codes and what corrective action to take when they are seen?  I'm asking because whenever I search on a cryptic error, more often than not, the results I get back are just as or more cryptic than the error LOL.  Thank you so much.
