I am into day three of trying to install DotnetNuke, I have watched the install video, read though the advice on the forum, read the install notes, reformatted my computer twice, puchased Visual Studio. already had SQL and MVW.

I have installed Dot Net Nike 4.5.1 and when the Visual studio builds the progam an launches it to Internet explorer, i get this come up along with the red chasing line going across the screen for hours and hours, it doesnt seem to do any thing and stops at this point.

Any help would be very much apprieated, i am coming to the end of the line with this, when i say three days, i mean three days * 10 hours a day,  I do not wont to give up on this, but can not see what else i am ment to do

Thank you for the help, though i have choosen the auto installation mode, it is the next page that gives me the problem. I have choosen it 100's of times, 100's of times, i am now into day 4 well it is 23:24 here so really i am on the start of day 5...

Prehaps  i could ask

if i am in stalling Dot Net Nuke 4.5.1 starter package,

1) do i need to make a data base or will the program do it

2) do i need to set IIS

3) web config strings, do i need to do any thing

4) what is the easiest way of getting DNN in any format on to a computer

thank you again
