I am renting a Win2k3 server, that comes with MSSql installed.  However, (my understanding from others) it is the free version, which mostly means it doesn't come with Enterprise Manager.  I can get to it through the command line, and using the osql.exe -- I know almost nothing beyond that point.  I do know that it is SQL 2000, and that the service is running.

I am looking either for information about how to configure my SQL server to be ready for the dotnetnuke install, or more info about Enterprise Manager if my above assumptions were incorrect.  Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Can you give me an example?  I'm not even sure what to search for based on that reply, and microsoft's website is a little vast.

Uh, they actually have a search feature at msdn.com, just put in the search field:

transact sql

Simple as that.  First thing that comes up is an overview of it.  Go there and on the left is the tree structure that lists all the transact commands.

If you are using VS2005 then it has built in handling of SQL Server databases through Server Explorer, and if price is a problem you can do the same with the currently free download of Visual Web Developer Express.
