Server Error in '/' Application.

Parser Error

Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Common.Global'.

I had the same error and fixed it by copying source to c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dotnetnuke and created a virtual directory to point to the same path (I had overlooked that step) and it worked great! I should have RTM.

I am getting the same error but its due to the development environment I am trying to set up. Can anyone tell me how to do the following:

  • I want to run DNN through http://localhost/dotnetnuke
  • I want the dotnetnuke virtual directory to point to a file share on a separate server.

IIS 5.0 supports pointing a virtual directory to a file share on a separate server, but when navigating to http://localhost/dotnetnuke after setting that up I get the error:

Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Common.Global'.

I had someone ask me about this before. I told them to recompile and that fixed it. Don't know why it came up, but I'd try that.
