Well, I got it to work.


The only thing I did differently THIS time was not installing the add-ons while installing.  Previously, i would check all the add ins (blogs, forums, etc), but not this time. And it seems to have fixed it. 

 

So if you have this same problem, and you're attempting to install the add ins during the initial install, don't.

I am having this very same issue (on the same host Verio) doing a root installation of DNN 04.09.00. The install works perfectly and as soon as it redirects you to the site you get the error. Just doing a base install without additional modules did not help me.

I tried downloading the debug-build of DotNetNuke.HttpModules.dll (4.9) and uploading it to the bin directory but it only changed one of the lines in the stack trace and did not yield any additional information. Could Verio be blocking the output of the information somehow?
