Hi All,

I tried the to run the DotNetNuke 04.08.04 and I got the page where it asks me to enter the name such as: database.mdf etc.. Using Windows Vista 64 bits and IIS 7 is installed and Using .Net 35 SP1.

I am using ms sql 2005 developer edition and that's what I am getting in 2 different computer.  I entered the local IP addtess under the server name as indicated: How the below can be fixed?

Connection Error(s):
Index #: 0
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 11
Number: 4060
Message: Cannot open database "DATABASE.MDF" requested by the login. The login failed.

Index #: 1
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 14
Number: 18456
Message: Login failed for user 'DORON\Doron Smith'

Thanks,

Doron

Are you choosing the  SQL 2000/2005 radio button, not the SQL Express button on the wizard?

Hi Chris,

The answer is Yes.
I had chosen a Typical Installation and ran through the Test Permisions and all were checked.

Here is what I am using in that page:
SQL Server 2000/2005
Sever: Doron
DataBase: Database.MDF
Integrated Security: Checked
Run as db owner: Checked
Object Qualifier: Dnn

Thanks,

Doron

For the "Database" type in the Name of the database you created in SQL Server, not the name of a database file.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply.
So I created a new database within the App_Data Folder and at this time the connection worked. The Database should be entered without the extension.

Then I clicked Next it got stock on the "Run Database Installation Scripts" after 45 min I tried the Next link, but nothing happens and it did not go next page. The Progress bar is always running. So I re-installed again the DotNetNuke and got the same problem. The DotNetNuke is installed under E:\Dev\DotNetNuke, and is that could be a problem?

Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks,

Doron
