Everytime I choose Host Settings the site gets stuck in a Redirect Loop.  If I choose Page Settings or Module Settings it simply redirects to the same page, while never opening the settings pages.

I had a redirect loop problem when I first setup the site, and following this guide http://www.bestwebsites.co.nz/dotnetnuke/solving-the-dotnetnuke-redirect-loop/ I've managed to get the site working.  Any help is appreciated.

Did you ever figure this out? My "host settings" page also does this redirecting/loop thing and I can't access it at all. I had the same problem on the 4.5 install and somehow I found that disabling the upgrade indicator button solved my problem, but now with the 4.9 install that hack isn't working.

Did you solve this? I have the same issue. Not able to see any of the host pages.

I am also having the same issue with DNN 040901. Brand new install on Windows XP. All Pages are OK, except Admin Settings and Host Settings and a couple of other Admin pages. Additionally, I can't get to the Module Settings or the Page Settings. Fiddler sems to tell me nothing...

I have .NET Framework 1 through 3.5 installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

One correction: When I use fiddler, I see the following Fiddler Response that throws requests into an infinite loop:

<html><head><title>Object moved</title></head><body>
<h2>Object moved to <a href="http://macxp/Default.aspx?tabid=16">here</a>.</h2>
</body></html>

This is the response when I try to go to Host settings at /Host/Host%20Settings/tabid/16/portalid/0/Default.aspx. See the Fiddler screenshot below...
