I'm in the process of setting up DNN3.2.2 after running DNN2.1.2 since it came out (I actually started with 2.1.1) and there's still something from then that I haven't worked out. In both versions there's a Host option to create portals and an option to allow anonymous demo portals, but nowhere can I see a way to allow a person to sign up for the use of a demo portal. A project I'm hoping to do in the near future would be perfect for this feature as I want to be able to allow bands to sign-up to a music site for unsigned artists and provide a venue service to match artists to music venues as well as the option of a hosted site for the band. Tied to this would be the ability to have a list of links on the host portal which would then read all the child portals and list them (ideally this would be a search function with latest 5 but I'd rather crawl with what I know should be available now than try and run an olympic sprint and go into totally uncharted territory). So basically the question is, how can I allow someone to sign up for a demo portal?

And if anyone out there thinks they could help with the other stuff I'd be more than happy to consider a partnership with a like minded DNN fan :)

Okay, I've worked out how to do the demo portal signup, it was quite simple really. Just copied the admin/portal folder to desktop modules and created a premium module assigned to my host portal with just the most basic controls. Worked a treat :)

Also found a nice little beta version of a discography module with play ability, that's another step closer :)
