Thanks for the advice Baatezu, most appreciated.

I would however like to persure my roles idea a little further before changing track.

Using roles seems the most natural way of doing this simply because it is the standard behaviour within DNN to show/hide modules.

This customisation is only for the front page of my portal and will affect approximately 15-20 modules maximum so creating a role per module isn't a great overhead.

What appears to be the great stumbling block though is this dynamic updating of a users roles at run time. I just cannot believe that this is not possible - it seems such a simple request and quite frankly I find it ridiculous that I cannot find any advice on how to do this?

If these roles are stored in a cookie and this is the only way they can be changed, can I edit/change that at runtime? What cookie shoudl I be looking for and how do I do this?

Blue & White hooped blood runs through my veins!
