Hi,

I've set up a paid user role with PayPal on my site.
The user role has an RSVP code and link.

Using the RSVP link works fine and ind the "manage services" tab, the "subscribe" link for this role has changed to "unsubscribe".

Now, when I click the unsubscribe role, I get redirected to the PayPal website...
Can anyone point me to what I might be doing wrong?

I'm using the most recent dnn version, version 6.01.01.

Thanks in advance,

Hanneke

Hi

As far as I know this is correct behaviour. A role is setup in paypal as a recurring payment. If you want to cancel a recurring payment you have to login to paypal and cancel this

Ah, hadn't thought of that.

One more question:

Thanks to the RSVP link, I've received the user role free of charge.
That means there won't be a recurring payment to cancel...

Should I have been prompted to pay for the user role regardless of the RSVP link (that's what I expected), or is the recurring payment cancellation not supposed to pop up?

Thanks,
Hanneke

Hi All,

It's been a while, but I'm still bugged by this question.

Would this behavior qualify for a bug report?

When I don't pay for a role by using an RSVP code, I shouldn't be prompted to log into paypal when unsubscribing from the role.

On the other hand, maybe that's not the bug, but is it a bug that the role is given away for free when using an RSVP. Nothing in the RSVP Help text suggests that the role will be provided without payment: "This code can be used to provide a convenient method for users to subscribe to one or more roles."

Thanks in advance,
Hanneke
