I just installed a 4.3.3 DNN and the 'Update' on the Site settings page simply will not submit. What's up with that?

If you have compression installed then you will have to exclude WebResource.axd

If you don't have a compression module installed (why not? :) ) then check to see if you are getting a javascript error.

You may need to turn on the display of javascript errors in your browser.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I've already got HTTP compression from www.port80software.com installed server-wide.

It's strange as I've done 3 DNN installs on this server in the last 3 weeks, with no issues.

Looking the JS console in FF there is a whole pile of X's: here's the first -

Error: Expected color but found 'none'.  Error in parsing value for property 'background-color'.  Declaration dropped.

Line: 413

WTH is dailymail.co.uk...

PS. I removed the webresource.axd for a gas, and still, Update just won't submit.

I'm stumped then.  Unless you are getting a validation error or a javascript error it should submit.

One thing I do is use http://www.fiddlertool.com/fiddler/ to check that you received the webresource.axd file correctly, but you may have already have done that with FF.

Well Fiddler is definitely an interesting tool, i'm not sure what to do with the info it's presenting me.

This is the URL my 'Update' wants to hit:

WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions(new WebForm_PostBackOptions("dnn:ctr353:SiteSettings:cmdUpdate", "", true, "", "", false, true))

This generates a javascript error in IE:

WebForm_PostBackOptions is Undefined

Again, really strange, this is basically a virgin install, first thing I did was go to Site Settings to change the title, skin, etc. and it just wouldn't 'Update'. Maybe I can re-install over top or something?
