Hi,

This may be a dumb question. ... :)

I am building a site with many pages and sections. Every time I create a new page (even if I'm "Copy" -ing from an existing page), I have to go through the setting, choose a skin, parent page, etc.

Its very time consuming. Is there a way to add a new page with the skin, Parent page, etc already set? I see that Copy Page doesn't work for this purpose. Do I need to create some kind of Template?

Thanks!

Tom

you can use page templates but thats more for default content though as far as I remember it stores skin selection (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Page-templates.aspx) -you can also use the pages admin module to add multiple pages in one go - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Video-Library/Viewer/VideoId/302/DotNetNuke-6-Pages-Administration-Overview.aspx (about 2.40 in AFAIR)

Thanks. It doesn't look like I have that version of DNN because when I click Pages, I dont get the version they are showing in the video. I just get a standard list of all pages in the portal.
It sounds like that could be helpful for me, but I dont have that version. Thanks for the info anyway.

Any other suggestions? Thanks

in that case you may want to consider http://radeditor.codeplex.com/ -this was the initial contribution for 6.0 (we've since converted it to c#, extended it and fixed a few bugs, but the main functionality is in place) . Alternatively you can of course do this via code - see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Create-a-new-page-programmatically.aspx for an example.
