This forum is for posting about Complete DotNetNuke Stuff... not about stuff that was built with DotNetNuke.  If you have a site that you've built and believe others would appreciate, please feel free to submit it as a candidate for our DNN showcase.  However, we would ask that everyone understand that we could not possibly allow the 000's of site builders who implement DNN sites to post here and have this forum retain any value.

So what is acceptable to post about?  Any tangible resource you offer which is topically specific to DotNetNuke , and... which is not a solicitation for contribution ( i.e you're "building" a resource and looking for stuff or eyeballs from other people ), advertising, or promotion for a redistribution / reseller channel.  Free resources are encouraged but commercial resources are welcome too.

This announcement area is for those who CREATE resources, not resell or redistribute the work of others.

For example:

  • Modules
  • Skins / Containers
  • Skin Objects / Controls
  • Documentation / Help / Tutorials
  • Development tools with specific DotNetNuke application ( i.e. templates for a particular IDE )
  • User Groups / DNN Related SIGs

What is unacceptable to post about?  Pretty much anything that looks like advertising, is not really related to DotNetNuke, is not yet available or can be viewed as a solicitation.  If you are looking for beta testers for a project, please post in a discussion forum until your resource is ready for general release.

  • Hosting
  • Stores, resellers
  • Resources which are not yet available (previews, betas, "coming soon", etc).
  • Solicitations ( for anything, including widgets / sites that are not complete, other forums, beta testers, etc. )
  • Services for DotNetNuke
  • formatted advertising ( these are announcements, you can put the ad on your own site or purchase advertising space, become a benefactor, etc. )
  • Any similar activities that we may deem inappropriate ( i.e use your noggin' )

If you've posted once... please don't post again unless you've got a new version or a significant change in your offering.  These are intended to be announcements, and if they look too much like "advertisements" or fall into any of the other unacceptable areas we've identified, we do reserve the right to delete them (don't be offended, inquire if you're unsure).

Please observe that "discussion" is generally discouraged in this forum for anything other than clarification of the original announcement.  Discussion is very much welcome, but should occur in one of our other forums as appropriate.

Cheers!

As a further note of clarification, this particular forum is not geared toward discussion and we will do our best to ensure that they remain on-target and to the point in terms of the subject of the announcement.  Posters are welcome to encourage conversation in one of our other forums by providing a suitable link.

As a general rule, threads that gets into double digits will be locked in order to help the announcements themselves to remain fresh (predominantly ordered by post, rather than replies).  These guidelines are provided to ensure that this forum provides the highest value to the broadest audience, lean on marketing and phat on information.

Inquiries or comments may be directed to Scott Willhite.

Good Posting!
