hi,
we're upgrading the DNN from 4.9.5 to 5.3.1

in 4.9.5
when we're editing the user role in the admin > user account, it will notify the user which has been edited via email.

but the email feature is not working in 5.3.1
there's no error log, is the feature disabled ? or how do we know if it's sending but got stuck somewhere ?
all smtp test and bulk email sending all is working fine.

please advice,
Thank you.

also,
when we're log in, the "register" link usually changed to user account,
and when that user account clicked, it will be redirected to modify it's profile, now it is not.
does anyone experiencing this ?

Thanks.

both should work as before, if you are using core module/controls.

oops, I remember, there had been issues with email in DNN 5.3, which have mostly been fixed meanwhile, AFAIK. The register link requires the new user profile module be placed on the target page, you might compare with setup of a blank new installation of same DNN version.
