Hi Guys ,

I am a newbie and learning dnn but facing a strange problem .
I have migrated a site from another server to my localhost and added a portal alias localhost inside the dbo.poratalalias table after getting error alias not in database but still I am getting the same error after adding localhost into the database. 
 when I am assigning IP to my site under binding and adding that IP to database under alias table its working but not working for all unassigned IP and localhost inside alias table .


What is the cause please help me its urgent .

are you browsing to the site on the same machine (localhost as its name suggests is only for local access i.e. it will not work for users on other machines)

Yes , I am browsing the site on same machine . Added alias localhost inside dbo.portalalias and bindings setting set to all unassigned but getting error alias not in database whereas when I am using the system IP inside binding setting and adding it to dbo.portalalias its working .

Please Help!
