4.5.4  Modified By Michael Gerholdt on 7/9/2007 12:01:24 AM

I just noticed dotnetnuke.com is on 4.5.4 ... SSL in place upon login. Cool!

It seems to be very slow to get to the login page.  Checking with Fiddler it has two 302 redirects before getting connected to SSL.

It would br better if the Login link was specifically set to SSL, and the server round trips to switch the mode is a lot slower than just doing it on the client.

John,

You have a good point as at most there should really only be one additional request if the url isn't HTTPS. I am not sure why there would be two...

The first one is because a special page has been created for Login and specified in Admin > Site Settings.
The second redirect is becuse once it gets there the system finds out that the page is supposed to be using SSL.

Every time I login to DNN.com, I get "Object not set..." - I do get logged in, of course (that's kinda self-evident...) Anybody else?
