I am building my first DNN site and am looking to build a newsletter subscriber list.  I'd like to have visitors to my site be able to leave their email address to add themselves to the list.  What is the best wat to accomplish this with DNN?  Is there a module I should use or is there better way?  Thanks for your help.  -Mark

The easiest thing to do is ask them to register at your site.  Once they do that, you have their name and email address.  You can use the Newsletter functionality built into DotNetNuke, or you can use something else to send the messages.

It's fairly easy to extract a list of names and e-addresses for use with other email systems.

there are a number of newsletter modules available at the Marketplace and Snowcovered, allowing you to provide newsletter subscription to users w/o need to subscribe.

Sebastian is quite right - I would simply add that many vendors of email and NL modules have recently made significant updates and improvements so this is a good time to be looking.
Datasprings has a new module which I am testing now and also Onyatech has a new module due.

I personally recommend using a module such as Opt In Email from DataSprings, as they provide methods for un-subscribe and adhere to Can Spam rules, which is very important as your list grows.
