Hello all!!

A quick question.......is there any way for me to manage content on multiple portals from a centralized source?  Ideally I would need the ability to edit module content (whether it be html/text,  calendar, etc modules) from one source and have it update across all of my child portals.....

Any and all help would be appricated!!

Thanks in advance!!

Unless a module was explicitly built for this purpose, no, it can't be done. Sorry I'd suggest you create an issue for this to have it incorporated into the core. This is the best place for a feature like this.

I just did this, but only for content in the online catalog system that I wrote. I created a product list, and then shared it amongst other portals, based on purpose of the portals themselves. I can't seem to figure out how to index the content in the other portals for their respective searches. When I reindex content, no portals except the main one are indexed. Because of my db model, I can recreate the content via sql for each portal, but I would rather use a process that's already in place if it exists.

Thanks,

Kim

Have a look at http://www.inventua.com - They have a module that might do this for you.
