I know this has been asked before but I need to ask again. 

Does anyone have a list of some large websites that look professional.  We have been tasked to build a collage / membership website with over 183800 members.

I know DNN can handle the load and am excited to even offer this option.  The only issue we are running into is finding a few good example sites to show the client and sell them that they will not have a "cheap" looking portal site.  I love DNN and use it on a lot of sites but I have not taken it to the next level of having a large enough site with a non portal looking skin.

I think it depends on the client's brief and design when it comes to sites that look or don't look like portals - I've done a large site which was really a fantastic design, nothing like I've ever seen a dnn site setup like - and I skinned that - but you know, these sites will become more commone when we find larger development companies that embrace DotNetNuke and have designers onboard who work hand in hand with the skinning team... and that is still a way off in my opinon, and while we see some fantastics sites around, alot of them are in fact designed by the dnn developer or templates converted to dnn.

I've got a swag of stuff I've not got online yet - simply due to time contraints, and in my opinion, they are very UN dnn looking.. but again, that's just my take on the matter.. and I think it requires people who know how to design working with people who know how to skin.. each has a role of it's own these days.

And, dont' forget, we have this site - http://www.dotnetnuke.com - that's a good example of how the framework can be used.
