I had a domain on a WH4L account but did not have a website. I created a new WH4L account and deleted the domain from the original WH4L account and added it to the new one. In GoDaddy, I added the NameServers provided by WH4L for the new account. When I try to access the new site by the name I get the (This IP address cannot be used for browsing.) error. This is not the Host site for this new WH4L account. It is another portal that I created. I added an alias as a child portal just so I can access the site. But I still cannot access it using the domain name.

It seems like I might have had a similar issue years ago, but cannot remember. I have about a half dozen WH4L host accounts with many websites under each one. I guess what I am saying is that I do this all the time. The only difference on this one is that I move the domain from one WH4L account to another.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Log into the WH4L control panel. Click 'Domains' in the header menu then Subdomain name in the side menu. In the 'Add SubDomain (Live!)' module, enter the subdomain folder name in the Subdomain name textfield. In the 'Map to:' field, enter your DNN root folder name. Click 'Add Domain'. Wait for it: a message in the module says: 'Website started succesfully!'
Nice spelling. Log out.

Log in as host admin in DNN. Open the Portal of interest and ensure there is a Portal alias for your new subdomain (sounds like you did this already...).

Should work now.

cheers....B
