The <p> tags are coming from the editor, look at the HTML source of the announcement item and remove the beginning and end tags, I am unsure about the trailing <br/>

I too perceived the spacing between my announcements to be more than I needed and not consistent with the spacing of the rest of my content.

SInce I use text only in my announcements, this is what I did:

Removed the extra <br> tag from the anouncement template in the module settings.

When adding or editing an announcement, I switch the editor from Rich Text Editor to Basic Text Box and check the Text radio button beneath the text box. I then removed any <br> and <p> </p> tags. When I am done I click update.

You can see the results here on my site http://mymagiczone.com

Many thanks to you for posting a fix for the Announcements spacing issue.

I was trying to add some announcements to the home page of a new website I had created called www.currencyclassroom.com and came across this issue. I have used the announcements module for many months now and had never seen the large gaps between the announcements on other versions before. This fix works for me...

I have also added a tutorial with screenshots on www.trevdogcertified.com, to help others who may like to know what was done to fix the issue here.

Cheers.
