Hi,
I've been looking at DNN v600and have noticed that the FCKEditor provider isn't contained in the release. One really important feature of FCK Editor is the ability to control which features are available to users on a per instance basis. E.g. I run a site where any registered user can add content to a site, in this case a classified ad. Using FCK editor, I can restrict the editing options to the bare minimum. So my questions are:

1] Can the new editor be configured in a per instance basis so that facilites can be restricted?

2] Can FCKEditor be installed in v6.x.x and will it run?

THanks in advance for any insight...

Phil

Check out this vid from Chris Hammond...should clear up a lot: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Video-Library/Viewer/VideoId/297/DotNetNuke-6-RadEditor-Changes.aspx

As a currentuser of CK I am VERY impressed with what DNN has done with Telerik in 6 and plan to convert my sites over

DNN 6 incorporates dnnWerk Telerik Editor Provider (radeditor.codeplex.com), which includes settings per portal or instance. Another option is using CKEditor provider, which incorporates latest version of FCKEditor for DNN: dnnckeditor.codeplex.com

With new radeditor provider in dnn600 - you can define tool layouts for specific roles and also for specific pages within the site.

But just a heads up though - currently if you UPGRADE a site to dnn600  - the new radeditor provider is not installed automatically.
