Testing out the DNN 4.03.01 and Documents 3.01.03 - looks good!
The new features will help our production site. here is a quick progress report.

1) Upgrade from DNN 4.0.3, Documents 3.01.0 worked fine.
2) The Sort order is working good.
3) The Display filtering is causing a module load error.
The module does not work when disabling the owner column.
The error message is is displayed below.

I've tracked down the cause of this error - and while you are waiting for an updated version, there is a workaround.  The problem is caused by selecting the "download link" column as visible, but having one or more "invisible" columns before it in the list.  So if you use the up arrow to move the download link column so that there aren't any invisible columns before it, the problem will not occur.
