Hello,

Regarding development in 6.2... is there/will there be any kind of user summary web control that module developers can use elsewhere? For example, say I want to show somebody's name and make it so you can hover and see a summary profile popup kind of thing... Is there a standard control like that, or one being planned?

Thanks,

Mike

no, there is no server control for profile - it exists as a module -i guess you could try a LoadControl on DesktopModules\Admin\ViewProfile\ViewProfile.ascx but it's not something tested AFAIK (that file also references resx and loads a knockout script AFAIR - though i think that was moved to the resx file with beta2). Im not aware of any plans for a reusable server/web control (there very well be some but im busy with 6.2.0 so havent looked ahead), but you can log this as an enhancement request to support.dotnetnuke.com

OK... thanks... and no problem, I'll just build one out myself.

I think you're right that it would be a good enhancement so that developers can make it more standard and uniform.

Thanks,

Mike
