After upgrade my users can no longer compose messages to each other the field says no results even when the user name is fully specified.  No matter what you type into the send to field it never finds a user when one exist.

Any Ideas what's going on or missing?  I tried to look at the online help for Message Center but all the pages don't exist except the overview page.

When looking at my existing module list I also notice that the old Message module is still there.  Did something not go right during my installation because as I understood the new Message Center was going to replace the existing one.  It did change it on my profile page where the old one existing but its still an option to choose in the module drop down, and to reiterate the users can't send messages since the send to field won't allow them to type in a user name.

Thanks,

-Scott

thats probably the issue - the upgrade should migrate the data to the new tables (i.e from Messageing_messages to CoreMessaging_messages etc.) and then delete the "old" messaging module. I would check the coremessaging tables and ensure that the migrated messages are there and if they are uninstall the old messaging module and see if that resolves it (please do this in a test environment from a backup)

The messages have been migrated over to the new tables and the old existing message table is empty, but when I log in as host and go to the Extensions there is no option to delete and the in use says No.

Do I need to remove this by hand and if so I want to make sure what DLL's I need to take out of the Bin folder for the old messaging and what stays with the new.

Thanks,

-Scott

Please delete the old messege module and add the new Messege Center.  This should fix your issue.

So Message Center is installed and I can't uninstall the old message module no delete option.
