Hi,
I'm using DNN 5.2.3 and Events module version 5.0.3.

If I use the site in Italian every time I try to add an event I get this error:
 - Si è verificato un errore
 - Errore: non è al momento disponibile.

(Translation:
- There was an error
- Error: Currently not available.)

If I use the site in english everything works fine.

In the Log viewer I see this Module Load Exception:

The start date of the event that I was trying to create was "19/07/2010 12.00" (italian)

I tried to install the 5.1.3 RC version of the events module but nothing changed.

Can anybody help me?
Thank you

Maurizio

Hi Maurizio,

This is a problem which I have had problems replicating. I have made some changes to in a new release (5.1.4). Please can you test this when it is available and post here the results. If there are any problems it will be a couple of weeks before I can progress since I am away on holiday.

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,
thank you for your quick answer.

I tested it with the new release 5.1.4 but the problem is still there.
There is a little difference in the InnerException reported by the log viewer that now is "String was not recognized as a valid DateTime"

Have a nice holiday.

Cheers
Maurizio

Hi Maurizio,
Q: Is the Italian time format 15.00 (for 3-o-clock) or 15:00?

Hi Ernst Peter,
the italian format is 15:00 but the error say that it cannot convert 15.00 to datetime format.

In fact if I try to run this line of code DateTime.Parse("01/01/2010 11.30") I got an error, otherwise, if I write DateTime.Parse("01/01/2010 11:30") it goes well.

When I create a new event, in the UI the Start date/time and End date/time use a textbox with a calendar and a combobox for the times.
The combobox contains all the times in the format hh.mm (eg 15.00 or 15.30) and not hh:mm.
Maybe the problem is just the format used for the times in the combobox?

Thank you
Maurizio
