Hello,

How can I get the Events moduleID from inside a UserControl that will be placed on the HomePage?
I've tried by using DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalController.GetCurrentPortalSettings().ActiveTab.ModuleID and the result was -1.

Thanks,

Hi Marco,

Bear in mind there can be more than one events module instance on a portal, so you need to be able to identify which one you want.

In any case, I normally get the list of modules on the portal by doing calls to:-
  • DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.DesktopModuleController.GetDesktopModuleByFriendlyName("Events") for DesktopModuleInfo
  • DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.ModuleController.GetModulesByDefinition(PortalID,FriendlyName)

Cheers
Roger
